Împreună cu alţi câţiva prieteni clevetitori am pus la cale evenimentul “Board Games Networking Summit for Interesting People who Work on Interesting Projects and Meet in Interesting Places”, pe scurt BGNSIPWIPM.

I gave away all my business cards I had left. I got back to cluj with 29 new business cards, 5 potential clients, 3 potential collaborations for FOREGROUND, one happy customer and one nice investment opportunity for myself (a franchise).

I have to be back in Bucharest on February 16th to close some deals and I can’t believe I’ve just said that.

At least when it comes to business, it looks like Bucharest is the place to be. And definitely a place worth being visited more often.

First of all, my blog produced results, at last. :)

These days I got a message from Adi, who reads or read my blog for some reasons. He found out that I’m working on a JCI chapter in Cluj and he’s interested. Even more, he’ll bring in more people interested in it. I didn’t meet him yet, but he seems very active and right for the job.

Then, I got registered on two alumni platforms: AIESEConnect and Alumni Worldwide, the second not being yet recognized by AIESEC International. The second produced a fist question from a member interested in our business with China! Speaking of China, I was lucky enough to come across the consul of China in Cluj-Napoca.

An old friend from my early NGO years is now a dentist. I try to help him get more clients, leveling up a little the business perspectives of his clinic. Quite an experience for me. When telling him about JCI, he was of course interested and help me get an office for JCI (actually, he got it).

Lots of people I met in AIESEC are now employed in important companies, some interested in being clients of the career fair we’re organizing this year. Not to mention the companies I got in touch with in the last 4 years. They are split in two: interested in trade with china or interested in recruiting students. What a convenient coincidence!

In AIESEC I met great characters among the company representatives. Important personalities form Cluj, human enough to go out for a coffee with me and advice me. On my last meters as president of AIESEC Cluj-Napoca I met a very interesting lady, working for the government, in the SME’s sector. She helps us start our two businesses and will have quite an important added value to defining JCI in Cluj.

Two friends of mine, one old and one new, are now building the web sites of the two businesses.

In AIESEC I met tens of interesting people. Three of them I have now as partners. Great people, from different corners of the country. And a “special” one, from Costa Rica. Lots more will be involved in JCI.

The best thing is that I am a boringly normal person. It’s just that I happen to be in the middle of all these. LinkedIn, waiting for your move!
